Join ELCoE on Saturday 20th of September 2025 between 11am-3pm for another Green Open Homes Day! 

On the day, local people with energy adaptations are opening their doors, showing curious neighbours upgrades like air source heat pumps, solar panels, zero-emissions boilers, and insulation in action.

The idea is to share what’s worked (or what hasn’t), and give other local people a sense of what these measures are actually like to live with – a bit like an open gardens day, but for green energy homes where you can meet the owners, hear their stories, and get inspired for your own energy projects!

There are Open Homes across Staple Hill, Downend, Emersons Green, and Pucklechurch with a range of energy adaptations to see.

It's not all about expensive changes, either. Many of the homes taking part have had surveys done like thermal imaging or home energy assessments, that have helped them to save money while keeping warm.

Whether you’re interested in cutting down your energy bills or reducing your carbon footprint – if you’ve ever thought about solar panels, insulation, or air source heat pumps, join us on the 20th and book to visit a local Green Open Home.

Let our home openers know you'll be coming by booking through Eventbrite (it's completely free of course). Homes are either:

Drop In - book your place and visit any time between 11am-3pm

or

Timed Arrival - book to visit at a specific time (slots between 11am-3pm)

Once you've booked, you'll get a confirmation email from Eventbrite with the home's full address, so you can plan your day. See you there!
