Guest Avenue

Our lovely Guest Avenue hosts have transformed their home over several years.

They’ve added solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery, and a Tepeo Zero Emissions Boiler, along with energy-saving upgrades like a wooden conservatory, secondary glazing, roof and cavity wall insulation, and a partial mechanical ventilation system.

By using electricity during the off-peak period, their yearly energy bill is under £1000 a year, and they make even more back thanks to a Feed-in Tariff!

No longer connected to gas, they’re excited to share their journey with you at the ELCoE Green Open Homes Day.

Visiting information: 

There is very limited parking nearby, and we would reccomend parking in the Emersons Green Sainbury's car park and walking through Emersons Green Park to Guest Avenue if arriving by car. The 48x and 49x both stop nearby.

There is toilet access for guests inside the house. Please note there is no step-free access to the house, however there is step-free access to the garden from which the solar panels can be viewed.
